ABOUT ME

Strong Schools. Clear Priorities.

I'm a TUSD parent, School Site Council member, statistical programming leader with a PhD in Biology, and community volunteer. I’m running to help every student succeed, make school spending clear, and support great teachers and safe schools.

My approach: Listen to families and educators. Follow the evidence. Stay accountable. Keep students at the center of every decision.

Senior Director, Statistical Programming

Clinical Trial Data & Biotechnology Leadership

I lead a team of statistical programmers who help analyze clinical trial data. My background includes biotechnology research and peer-reviewed publications. In my work, accuracy matters. I ask questions, check the details, and make sure conclusions are supported by the data. I would bring that same care to reviewing TUSD’s budget, facilities spending, and student progress.

A Life Shaped by Education & Opportunity

I grew up in India as the son of a schoolteacher. I came to the United States to continue my education, earned a PhD in Biology, built my career, and raised my family. Education shaped my future. Now, I want to give back by helping our schools prepare every child for theirs.

Dedicated Local Education Leader

I worked with other parent representatives and Jefferson Elementary School District leadership to advocate for permanent classrooms and an on-time opening for our neighborhood school. At Corral Hollow Elementary, I served as School Site Council Vice Chairperson and then Chairperson. I currently serve on School Site Councils at both Corral Hollow and Kimball High School, helping review school plans and spending priorities to support student learning.

Health & Wellness Advocacy

As a certified yoga instructor, I teach and encourage others in my community toward healthier, more balanced habits beyond the classroom, including leading sessions at community events like the International Day of Yoga.

Cultural Enrichment

I help lead local cultural activities that connect young people and families with their traditions. I also organize food and backpack drives and teacher appreciation events, working with cultural and civic groups. For Universal Oneness Day, also known as Raksha Bandhan, I help organize recognition of local police officers and firefighters.
